2025 5th International Conference on Computer Graphics, Image and Virtualization was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur!

 

The 5th International Conference on Computer Graphics, Image and Virtualization (ICCGIV 2025) was successfully held on June 6, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. This conference was hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and organized by Faculty of Computing, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, with National University of Malang, King Abdulaziz University, and AEIC Academic Exchange Center as supporting units. A group of experts and scholars attended this conference on site, and carried out in-depth and extensive academic exchanges around computer applications, artificial intelligence, digital images and other cutting-edge technology fields, which built an international bridge for academia and industry to open up cooperation and seek common development.

Opening Ceremony

Prof. Shamsul Sahibuddin of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, as the representative of the organizer, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, expressing his sincere thanks and warm welcome to all the experts and scholars who have come from afar.

Keynote Speech

In the keynote report session, Prof. Erik Cambria from Nanyang Technological University (online), Prof. Masaki Oshita from Kyushu Institute of Technology, Prof. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Prof. Por Lip Yee from University of Malaya, and Prof. Farhan Mohamed from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, five experts from the top overseas universities brought a high-level academic feast to the participants. University of Malaya, Prof. Por Lip Yee, University of Malaya and Prof. Farhan Mohamed, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. With profound academic attainments, the experts transformed complex cutting-edge theories into in-depth professional reports, which were both highly theoretical and practically instructive. In the interactive session, the participating scholars enthusiastically asked questions on the key technologies, application scenarios and future development direction to discuss with the guest speakers, and the collision of ideas constantly triggered a burst of applause at the venue, which fully demonstrated the depth and vitality of the academic exchanges.

Oral Presentation

The afternoon oral presentation session continued the academic heat in the morning, and the exciting sharing added another highlight to the conference. Ten scholars from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kyushu Institute of Technology, and Nanjing University of Technology shared their research results through the combination of offline and online. This open mode of communication not only promotes the cross-fertilization of disciplines, but also builds a high quality platform for young scholars to show their research results.

Awarding

At the end of the conference, there was an evaluation session, after strict evaluation, a total of four outstanding scholars stood out, were awarded the Outstanding Paper Award and Outstanding Young Scholar Reporting Award, respectively, through the recognition of outstanding scientific research talents and scientific research results, to inspire scholars to continue to innovate, and the courage to scale new heights in science and technology.

ICCGIV 2025 not only show the cutting-edge progress and the latest achievements in computer applications, but also provide new ideas and directions for the application of computer technology through in-depth interdisciplinary dialogues and exchanges. Looking ahead, we look forward to further promoting synergistic innovation and cooperation between academia and industry, and jointly addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by computer technology in the process of development.
